Course Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants will:
- Understand the principles which make kinesiology tapes so effective.
- Recognize appropriate applications of kinesiology tape in your own patient population.
- Discover functional differences between kinesiology tape and traditional athletic tapes.
- Demonstrate a time-efficient method to decrease muscle spasm, pain and swelling.
- Review a variety of pathological and post-operative uses for kinesiology tape.
Who Should Attend?
ATCs, OTRs & COTAs, PTs, PT Assistants & Aides, DCs, and other medical practitioners. Less than 50% of the contents of this course deals with evaluation; therefore, this course is open for registration to physical therapist assistants. There be certain activities taught by law that cannot be performed by the physical therapist assistant.
CEs/PDUs/Contact Hours
Certificate of attendance will be presented to each participant for 15 contact hours. This seminar qualifies for 15 continuing education hours as required by many national, state and local licensing boards and professional organizations. About the Speaker
Tracey Airth-Edblom, OTR, CHT received a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Alberta in Canada. worked at the University of Calgary (Foothills) Hospital for 3 years in general orthopaedics, and rheumatology. She then moved to California to join in opening The Arthritis Center in San Mateo which is still a thriving program. She has been a Hand Therapist at Kentfield Hand Center in Kentfield, CA since March, 1993. Tracey has presented at 6 national conferences in Canada and the US, taught seminars across US including guest lectures at the University level in Rheumatology and Hand Therap Dominican University and Samuel Merritt College Hand Therapy Program in Oakland She is in her third year in a multidisciplinary private practice at P.O.S.T. Wellness Ce in Petaluma, CA.
Early Registration Deadline
The Early Registration deadline for all courses is three weeks prior to the start of the course. All registrations must be postmarked or received three weeks prior to the co date, if received after the registration deadline, a $25.00 Late Fee will automatically applied to the registration fee.

How Do We Sign-Up and Qualify for the Free Spot?
In order to qualify for this discount, we must receive all six completed registration for with the appropriate payment for the five spots. If you want to mail in the completed fo you must mail all six forms in the same envelope. If you want to fax in the forms, you fax all six forms at the same time.
Please note that there will be no exceptions granted. We must receive everything at in order to process these registration forms under the group discount policy.

Refund and Cancellation Policies
California Education Connection reserves the right to cancel this seminar due to an insufficient number of registrants. Under these circumstances, a full refund in the for a check will be addressed and mailed to the registered participant. Please note that California Education Connection is not responsible for any hotel, airline or other expenses incurred. All cancellations by registered participant must be dated and submitted in writing. For cancellations received 14 days or more before the seminar date, the registration will be returned less a $50.00 administrative fee. A refund in the form of a check will mailed to the registered participant. Within 14 days of the seminar, no refunds will be made. California Education Connection reserves the right to change a course date, location or instructor. If the seminar is either interrupted or canceled by an act of nat war, or any issue beyond the control of California Education Connection, no refund w issued.
