Ronna Semonian

Ronna H. Semonian P.T. received her degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma Washington in 1986. Ronna was the Director of Physical Therapy at the Aztec Sports Medicine Center, San Diego State University from 1989 - 1991. In 1991, she received her Athletic Trainer Certificate (AT,C) and became the 375th Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association in 1992. Ronna was one of the first physical therapists invited onto the Specialization of Content Experts (SACE), to write questions for the OCS examination. Ronna has treated and educated patients and colleagues in many aspects of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, both hospital based and in private practices. She was invited to speak at the California Chapter APTA state conference 3 years in a row, NATA Far West conference and various special interests groups. Publications include May1995 JOSPT article “Proximal Tibiofibular Subluxation Relationship to Lateral Knee Pain: A Review of Proximal Tibiofibular Joint Pathologies” and the 1999 Biomed – Superior Swing – Self Evaluation and Exercise Booklet. From 1996 to 2003, Ronna owned and operated the Center for Physical Therapy & Exercise, in Poway California. Since 2002, Ronna has been on faculty at the Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, CA teaching “Fitness for Golf” and “Physiology of Exercise” courses. Ronna currently works as a staff physical therapist at the Center for Physical Therapy & Exercise and as a consultant for Ancillary Care Solutions corporation providing clinical assessment and professional development training to ACS affiliated therapists and clinics.
