Rebekah Rotstein

Rebekah Rotstein is a New York City-based Pilates instructor and bone health specialist who integrates functional anatomy and biomechanics principles into mind-body exercise. The founder of Incorporating Movement (www.incorporatingmovement.com), she offers courses and workshops to movement and healthcare professionals throughout the U.S and internationally.  Her education began in the sports medicine department of Smith College working as a student athletic trainer after chronic injuries ended her ballet career. She trained at the Kane School of Core Integration in New York, where she later joined the teacher training faculty, leading courses in Special Populations and serving as a senior Expert Instructor.  She furthers her education through ongoing coursework including yearly human cadaver dissections at New Jersey Medical School and an immersion course for movement professionals at Mount Sinai Medical School..
 
An expert in osteoporosis and bone health, Rebekah designed the popular workout Pilates for Buff Bones™ and authored “Safe Exercise Strategies and Bone Strengthening Techniques for Clients with Osteoporosis” for Hatherleigh Medical Education’s series for fitness professionals.  She is an official partner of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services with “The Office of Women’s Health”, promoting its Best Bones Forever!™ campaign to teach bone health to young girls.  She is a contributing writer to the web site of Dr. Andrew Weil (drweil.com) and has been interviewed by various media including CNN.  Rebekah was diagnosed with osteoporosis at age 28 and has since reversed her condition of low bone density through diet and exercise alone.  She works collaborates with Dr. Loren Fishman, MD, and is a member of the continuing education faculty of Kinected Pilates & Conditioning in Manhattan.
