Designed for childcare providers, early childhood educators/students, youth organizations and parents, this course covers breathing and cardiac emergencies in infants and children, identifying and caring for common age-related injuries and preventing childhood illnesses.

This courses teaches how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in children and infants; identifying and caring for bleeding, sudden illness and injury and preventing disease transmission. CPR Certification valid for 2 years and First Aid Certification valid for 3 years. The course follows the most recent CPR and Cardiac Care guidelines

Topics Included

Common childhood problems such as head bumps, lost teeth, swallowed objects and objects in the ears or nose
Common childhood illnesses such as whooping cough, chicken pox, conjunctivitis and head lice
Child abuse and neglect
